-Provide in-country leadership, management, and
coordinate program activities
- Provide overall strategic direction to the IYCN
project in Nigeria
- serve as primary liaison between the project and the
FMOH, USAID/ Nigeria, CDC/Nigeria, WHO, UNICEF and other development
-Ensure the sound financial management of project
-Monitor and coordinate the work of multiple
-Coordinate monitor and supervise local IYCN project
staff and consultants.
-strong leadership and management skills.
-Ability to direct and manage change, inspire teamwork,
and motivate staff and partners to achieve results.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills.
-Ability to work collaboratively with government
agencies and partners in the country.
-Ability and willingness to travel within country and
internationally, as necessary.
-Medical Doctor with experience in HIV and nutrition or
PhD level nutritionist with HIV expertise is preferred, with a minimum of a
masters degree in public health or a related field
-At least 10 years of experience in the development,
implementtation, and management of infant and young child nutrition, MCH or
-Proven knowledge of key USG regulations and previous
experience with USAID or NGO programs preferred.
