(Linguistics/Yoruba Language)
(ii)  Associate Professor (Linguistics/lgbo Language)
A candidate for any of the above posts must possess a good Bachelor of Arts (B. A. Hons) degree and a doctorate degree in Linguistics/Yoruba language or Linguistics/lgbo Language from a recognized University with not less than eight (8) years of teaching and research experience in a University or comparable institution of higher learning. Considerable number of high quality scholarly publications in form of books, monographs, chapters in books and refereed journal articles published both locally and internationally by reputable publishers will be required in addition to ability to provide both academic and administrative leadership. (iii)  Senior Lecturer (Linguistics/lgbo Language)
(iv)  Senior Lecturer (Linguistics/Yoruba Language)
A candidate for any of the above posts must possess a good B. A. (Hons.) degree and a doctorate in Linguistics/Igbo Language or Linguistics/Yoruba Language with at least five (5) years of teaching and research experience in a University or comparable institution of higher learning. Candidate must possess evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals.
(v)  Lecturer II (Linguistics/Yoruba Language)
(vi)  Lecturer II (Linguistics/Igbo Language)
A candidate for any of the above posts must possess a good first degree and a doctorate degree in Linguistics/Yoruba Language or Linguistics/Igbo-Language from a recognized University. Evidence of recognized publications in reputable journals will be an added  advantage
(vii)  Assistant Lecturer (LinguisticslYoruba Language)
(viii)  Assistant Lecturer (Linguistics/Igbo Language)
A candidate for any of the above posts must possess a good first degree in Linguistics/Yoruba Language or Linguistics/Igbo-Ianguage from a recognized University and must have registered for the Ph.D. programme in the relevant field. 

B. Department of History and Strategic Studies
(i)  Professor
A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and a doctorate degree in the respective field from a recognized University with not less than ten (10) years of teaching and research experience in a University or comparable institution of higher learning. A strong proof of continuing research with appreciable evidence of scholarly publications in reputable, journals published both locally and internationally is required in addition to evidence of ability to supervise post-graduate students including Ph.D. candidates in areas of expertise. Candidate must also have sufficient administrative experience.
(ii)  Associate Professor
A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and a doctorate degree in the respective field from a recognized University with not less than eight (8) years of teaching and research experience in a University or comparable institution of higher learning. Candidate must have ability to initiate and develop courses at both undergraduate and post graduate levels. Sufficient administrative 'experience and ability to provide both academic and administrative leoadership is required. Evidence of several scholarly publications in learned journals is required in addition to ability to supervise Ph.D. candidates in areas of expertise.

(iii)  Lecturer I
A candidate for this post must have a good first degree and a doctorate degree in the respective field from a recognized University with at least four (4) years of teaching and research experience in a University or comparable institution of higher learning. Candidate must also have ability to teach courses at the undergraduate level with evidence of practical skills and competence. Evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals is also required. 
C.  Department of Philosophy
(i)  Professor

A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and a doctorate degree in Philosophy, Candidates must also have at least 10 years of teaching and research experience in a University or comparable institution of higher learning. Sufficient administrative experience and ability to provide both academic and administrative leadership is also required. Areas of Specialization: Socio-Political Philosophy, African Philosophy and Philosophy of Science.
 (Ii)  Associate Professor
A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and doctorate degree in
Philosophy with at least eight (8) years of teaching and research experience in a University or comparable institution of higher learning. Considerable number of high quality scholarly publications in form of books, monographs, chapters in books and refereed journal articles published both locally and internationally by reputable publishers will also be required. Candidates must have ability to initiate and develop courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels as well as supervise research programmes at the postgraduate level in the area of expertise. Ability to provide academic and administrative leadership is also required.
Areas of Specialization: Logic, Philosophy of Science and Epistemology.
(iii)  Lecturer II
A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and a Ph.D. degree in Philosophy from a recognized University. Some pUblications in learned journals would be an added advantage. Candidates must also have ability to teach courses at the undergraduate level.

Faculty of Business Adminstration

(i)  Professor
A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and Ph.D. degree in Accounting with not less than ten (10) years teaching and research experience in a University or comparable Institution. Astrong proof of continuing research with appreciable evidence of scholarly publications in reputable Journals in the field of Accounting is required in addition to evidence of ability to supervise post-graduate (including) Ph.D. candidates in areas of expertise. Administrative experience and demonstrable ability and maturity to provide academic leadership will be essential. Membership of a recognised professional Accounting body will be an added advantage.
(ii)  Associate Professor
A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and a Ph.D. degree in Accounting from a recognized University with not less than eight (8) years of University teaching and research experience in a University or comparable institution of higher learning. Candidates must have the ability to initiate and develop courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and supervise research programmes at the postgraduate level. Sufficient administrative experience and ability to provide both academic and administrative leadership is required. Candidates must also possess evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals. Membership of a recognised professional accounting body will be an added advantage.
(iii) Senior Lecturer

A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and Ph.D. degree in Accounting from a recognized University, with at least five (5) years of teaching and research experience in a University oor comparable institution of higher learning. Candidate must have the ability to initiae research work with evidence of extensive practical skills and compentece. Candidate must also possess evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals. Membership of a recognized professional Accounting body will be an advantage.

(iv)    Lecturer I

Acandidate for this post must possess a good first degree and a Ph.D. degree in Accounting from a recognized University with at least four (4) years of teaching and research experience in a University or equivalent institution. Candidates must also have some publications in reputable journals and the ability to teach courses at the undergraduate level with evidence of practical skills and competence.Membership of recognized professional accounting body will be and advantage.

(v)   Lecturer II

A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and Ph.D. degree in Accounting from a recognized University. He/she must also have the ability to teach courses at the undergraduate level with evidence of practical skills and competence. Evidence of publication in reputable learned journals will be an advantage. Membership of a recognized professional accounting body will also be an advantage.

B. Department of Actuarial Science and Insurance, Insurance Unit
(I)  Professor
A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and a doctorate degree in Insurance or Risk Management from a recognized University with at least ten (10) years of teaching and research experience in a University or comparable institution of higher learning. Considerable number of high quality scholarly and refereed journal articles published both locally and internationally by reputable publishers is required. Sufficient administrative experience and ability to provide both academic and administrative leadership is also required. Successful candidates should be ready to undertake postgraduate teaching and supervision.
(ii)  Associate Professor
A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and a doctorate degree in Insurance or Risk Management from a recognized University with at least eight (8) years of teaching and research experience in a University or comparable institution of higher learning. (iv)  Lecturer I
A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and a doctorate degree in Insurance or Risk Management from a recognized University with at least four (4) years of teaching and research experience in a University or comparable institution of higher learning. Candidate must also have ability to teach courses at the undergraduate level with evidence of practical skills land competence. Evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals is also required.
(v)  Lecturer II
A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and a doctorate degree in Insurance or Risk Management from a recognized University. Evidence of scholarly publications in the field of Insurance or Risk Management will be an added advantage.
(vi)  Assistant Lecturer
A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and M.sc degree in Insurance or related areas from a recognized University. Candidate must also have registered for the Ph.D. programme.

 

Actuarial Science Unit
(i)  Professor
A candidate for this post must have a good first degree and a doctorate degree in Actuarial Science or related areas from a recognized University with at least ten (10) years of teaching and research experience from a University or comparable institution of higher learning. Considerable number of high quality scholarly and refereed journal articles published both locally and internationally by reputable publishers will be required. Sufficient administrative experience and ability to provide both academic and administrative leadership is also required. Successful candidates should be ready to undertake postgraduate teaching and supervision.
(ii)  Associate Professor
A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and a doctorate degree in Actuarial Science or related areas from a recognized University with at least eight (8) years of teaching and research experience in a University or comparable institution of higher learning. (v)  Lecturer II

(vi)  Assistant Lecturer
A candidate for this post must possess a good first degree and M.Sc degree in Actuarial Science or related areas from a recognized University. Candidate must also have registered for the Ph.D. programme.
C.      Department of Business Administration
(i)  Professor
A candidate for this post must possess a doctorate degree in Business Administration from a recognized University with not less than ten (10) years of teaching and research experience in a University or comparable institution of higher learning. Candidates must have the ability to initiate and develop courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and supervise research programmes at the postgraduate level. Ability to provide both academic and administrative leadership is required. Considerable number of high quality scholarly publications in form of books, monographs, chapters in books and refereed journal articles published both locally and internationally by reputable publishers will also be required.
(ii)  Associate Professor
A candidate for this post must possess a doctorate degree in Business Administration and related discipline from a recognized University with not less than eight (8) years of teaching and research experience in a University or comparable institution of higher learning. Candidates must have the ability to initiate and develop courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and also supervise research programmes at the postgraduate level. Ability to provide both academic and administrative leadership is required. Considerable number of high quality scholarly publications in form of books, monographs, chapters in books and refereed journal article pUblished both locally and internationally by reputable publishers will also be required.
(iii)  Senior Lecturer
A candidate for this post must possess a doctorate degree in Business Administration from a recognized University with not less than five (5) years of teaching and research experience in a University or comparable institution of higher learning. Candidate must have the ability to initiate research work with evidence of extensive practical skills and competence. Candidate must also possess evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals.
(iv)  Lecturer I
A candidate for this post must possess a Ph.D. degree in Business Administration from a recognized University with at least four (4) years of teaching and research experience in a University or equivalent institution. Candidates must also have some publications in reputable journals and the ability to teach courses at the undergraduate level with evidence of practical skills and competence.
(v)    Lecturer II
A candidate for this post must possess a doctorate degree in Business Administrationa recognized University. Candidates must also have the ability to teach courses at the undergraduate level with evidence of practical skills and competence. Some scholarly publication in the relevant field of Business Administration in reputable learned journals will be an added advantage.
(vi)  Assistant Lecturer  .
A candidate for this post must possess a good B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree, one of which must be in Business Administration and must have registerable Cumulative Grade Points
Average for either  the M. Phil or Ph.D. programm'e in any of the functional areas.
